Manage, supervise and motivate All shift Team Leads & Members supporting daily, weekly and monthly goals in support of zero defects, 0 injuries & 100% on time delivery.
Ensure team adheres to required procedures and standards.
Take the lead role in identifying, analyzing and providing countermeasures if production and other established goals are not achieved.
Utilize team leads & members working with all department managers as needed.
Manage team leads and team member training to be current, credible, documented and posted.
Manage a monthly training schedule to keep skills current and/or teach new skills.
Monitor and manage updates to Work Instructions as needed.
Manage and enforce company policies, i.
e.
safety, work instructions and daily attendance of all Team Members and Team Leaders.
Research performance issues thoroughly, understanding the facts, before approaching a member with concern to solicit their input.
Seek manager approval, and HR support if needed.
Coordinate disciplinary actions whenever necessary up to and including termination with department manager and Human Resources Department.
Manage initial performance reviews of new hires for accuracy and timeliness.
Record and maintain daily production activity reports, i.
e.
, scrap, production, etc.
Participate in management meetings and communicate issues across shifts to appropriate personnel.
Support company Kaizen activities that improve performance.
Take a leadership role in such events ensuring countermeasures are implemented.
Understand PDCA system and how it benefits the manufacturing processes.
Ensure a safe working environment for the team members focusing on daily communication on accident prevention.
Record possible safety hazards in order to resolve with urgency.
Document incidents on company incident form for immediate root cause & countermeasure support.
Participate in safety meetings as requested.
Assist in the interview and selection process for Team Members/Leaders Support and enforce all ISO 14001 Environmental activities and programs Perform other related duties as required.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Prefer 2-4 year degree, experience can be substituted for education Requires 5 years experience in the manufacturing industry with at least 3 years in a leadership position preferably in the automotive industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with JD Edwards Enterprise system experience preferred.
Must be flexible with work hours to assist in covering all shifts and possible weekend production.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a collaborative work style with other departments Must be willing to work across 1st and 2nd shift during training period.
