2K a year 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago The employee is responsible for inpatient/observation/outpatient/ER/clinics chart analysis, re-analysis of inpatient/observation/outpatient charts, and assuring that all discharge records are accounted for weekly.
The employee is also responsible for assigning deficiencies and ensuring completion of records according to Medical Staff bylaws, JCAHO, and State Licensure rules and regulations.
He / She is also responsible for maintaining patient files, answering telephones within three rings, directing phone calls to the appropriate area, processing phone request for records, assisting with in person records request and scanning loose papers.
He / She is to perform other specified duties on weekends / holidays, as assigned.
The employee will present a pleasing and helpful manner to patients, physicians, members of the Health Information Management Department, and all other medical and administrative personnel.
The employee shall exhibit a courteous behavior when dealing with the public and outside related agencies.
The employee shall follow the established policies and procedures of the hospital and the department.
He / She shall report and contribute to the departmental objectives.
High school diploma, general education development, or vocational education required with at least two years clerical experience preferred.
Medical office experience and computer experience preferred Previous experience in a Health Information Management Department is helpful.
High numerical skills, forms perception skills, motor coordination, finger / manual dexterity, and color discrimination required Equal opportunity and affirmative action employers and are looking for diversity in candidates for employment:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
